Red Carpet Premier of “The Brand UR” anti-bullying clothing line

  1. On Saturday, Feb.25, 2012, I was a guest speaker at the Red Carpet event for the “Brand UR”. The above picture is me posing for a photo with the owner and creator of the The Brand UR , Jodi LaFountain. The brand UR was founded and based on our line called popUlaR. The U and R in popUlaR were designed to be highlighted in the word making a statement by all that wore it as they were representing that UR popUlaR ….. that EVERYONE IS POPULAR! www.thebrandur.com. What was great about this opportunity is that I was able to speak out to a crowd of about 300 about why we all need to work togther to stop bullying.
I wasn’t the only guest  that took time to be there – others were Raiko Bowman, star of “The Hunger Games” movie (She plays Peeta’s Mom)and “Toddlers & Tiaras” star Paisley Dicky. Talent manager Blake Woodruff flew in from NYC to support this event as did actress Elizabeth Percy who speaks out against bullying.
There were so many wonderful people there – it was great to see everyone stand together against bullying. Some of the highlights of the event were:
 The Brand UR Fashion Show
Song writer Shawn Lopes with The Brand UR’s
VERY OWN SONG called “popUlaR”
Performance from The New Generation Dance Crew
Chocolate Fondue Bar
Cash Bar
& DJ Dance Party!

So excited to team up with fellow actress and peer Taylor Hay and producer Seng2kx for a anti-bullying PSA!

Hey everyone – I am really excited to announce that I am teaming up with awesome actress Taylor Hay and several other actors to put together an anti-bullying PSA. What is so great about this project is Taylor and I have met through a few actor related networking sites but have never met face to face! The power of coming together though the use of modern technology and a common cause! Taylor is on the West Coast and I am on the East (Boston) so this will be an official Bi-Coastal production. More importantly, we are coming together to fight bullying. Taylor will be filming her segment on the west and then mail dropping her part to the producer who will then splice the footage in with the rest of the actors. AMAZING! Seng2kx Productions is going to do an awesome job pulling this all together. I can’t wait to see it! Below is the official PR announcement and if you want to learn more about Taylor Hay or Seng2kx productions click on the pictures below.

Boston, Jan. 9, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Seng2kx Productions , a Boston-based Film and Entertainment production company, today announced  Meredith Prunty, age 16, well known  Boston based actress and anti-bully advocate will be anchoring and co-producing  an anti-bullying  PSA titled  “Change Things”.  This PSA is a unique Bi-Coastal collaboration that will include contributions from actors on both the East and West coasts.  “The Entertainment Industry can be very competitive – it is great to have my peers coming together to help me spread the word”, Meredith said. Included in the group of actors is LA based teen actress Taylor Hay (Yes, Virginia TV Series). Taylor was eager to sign on to this project despite her busy schedule as she shares a common bond with Meredith – both girls are anti-bully advocates. Taylor Hay is a cancer survivor as well and she and Meredith have nurtured a friendship after meeting on a networking site despite never having met in person. Meredith Prunty, “These Public Service Announcements bring much-needed awareness to the growing problem of violence faced by teens today and we feel that it is important for teens to work together to help stop this growing problem”.

The PSA is will be released spring 2012 and will be available for viewing at seng2kx.blogspot.com and on selected television broadcasts. For additional information please contact Seng2kxproductions@gmail.com.

2011 – a year in Review :)

A year ago I gave this blog as a present to myself. A lot has happened in a year most of which I have captured here in 41 posts, videos and pictures. I appreciate everyone reading and commenting and never would I guess that this blog would have generated close to 10,000 views. I put together a year in review video. I hope you enjoy it. I also have to give credit to my Momanager (a term used to describe a Mom who is also a Manager). She has helped me with all the administrative details on this blog, my facebook fan page, Youtube, Twitter and my IMDb page.  Happy Holidays everyone and lets all have a wonderful 2012! ~Meredith
